Save money on second charge

I have 8 years left on 1st charge, 10 on 2nd charge, 1st charge is currently 5 year fixed at 1.8% around 30K owing, 2nd charge is 6.2% around 22k owing. By using all the online calculators i see it may be possible to refinance the 2nd charge by moving it to another lender and save about 5k interest. My main question is, would my current 1st charge lender allow me to add the 2nd charge to my existing mortgage at the same rate of 1.8% and for the same length of 8 years thus saving me around 5k in interest and at virtually no change to the combined monthly payment that I currently pay.
If they wont let me do this what other options are there, would it make sense to take another charge out to pay off the 22k at around 3% that i have seen quoted which would still be a big saving?
I have an excellent credit rating and a fairly well paid job, not that my combined payments would be much different than currently.

Well you can only ask your current lender who has the first charge.
How much is your property worth, your age, income, debts and credit score will all be taken into account.
I am not sure you will get 1.8% but it's going to be less than 6.2% unless there are other issues ?

Property worth £130000, no defaults, no ccj, full time class 1 hgv driver early fifties, no other debts, excellent credit score, and I do plan on making regular overpayments thus paying off earlier.
