Can't Access Some Websites

Hi,
This morning I have been upgraded to fibre, but I can now no longer access certain websites, such as Gmail. It appears to be websites that are supposedly insecure???
I can't log in to my ISP account as it appears to be one of those sites I can't log in to, so I can't check the settings, but I don't think it's the wifi as my phone allows me access to these sites on the same wifi connection. I can access my ISP account on my phone, but I can't find what I need, so I think with all that in mind, it's something on my computer that I need to change the settings of to allow access to all sites again?
I've tried 4 browsers and the same result on all 4.
Thanks for any advice.

I've been on fibre for a few years now, and I'm getting the same as you - it started about 15 to 30 minutes ago.I've rebooted my router, phone and PC - Google, YouTube and now Twitter aren't working properly, and everything else is much slower than it should be, even after rebooting the rooter.Even MSE isn't showing all the button icons in the forum.1

So it might not be me......just strange timing....maybe me being upgraded has blown the whole system.MothballsWallet said:I've been on fibre for a few years now, and I'm getting the same as you - it started about 15 to 30 minutes ago.I've rebooted my router, phone and PC - Google, YouTube and now Twitter aren't working properly, and everything else is much slower than it should be, even after rebooting the rooter.Even MSE isn't showing all the button icons in the forum.
Phone isn't working as well as I thought, having to use my data.
I seem to be working again now......0 -
No, it's definitely not just us: I've just managed to get everything working again - the whole UK's internet was broken for a while.1

Aaah, cool, thanks.MothballsWallet said:No, it's definitely not just us: I've just managed to get everything working again - the whole UK's internet was broken for a while.
Yep, everything is working again and the insecure sites weren't actually insecure, they just were for a few minutes it seems. Hopefully no long lasting repercussions like data hacked.0 -
Everything has been OK for me. Then again I've been connected to my company's VPN which makes my Internet end point look like being in the Netherlands.

Seemed to be a big problem with TalkTalk this morning. Luckily I was able to use a BT connection that seemed OK if a bit slow.....1
