Thanks all. If my voluntary redundancy application is accepted and it’s confirmed in writing then can my new employer ask HR for a reference as the start date of my new employment will be after I have left my existing employment?0

I can't see why not, but I'd ask the new employer to give your start date, just to be on the safe side.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Request a copy of the 'standard' reference which provides start and end date of employment, plus possibly final job title. Most employers will in any case be happy to provide references following redundancy.Charlie1985 said:Thanks all.
