Yes lots of useful time can be spent on here - plus some useless time but that's fine as wellI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

So today was pay day! Got a little more then expected so a nice surprise.Payday also means shiny new budget for the next four weeks!!! (Am I supposed to get excited about things like this!? 🙈)I paid £136.01 of some debts today. Others go out at various times in the month. I’ve added the figures in my signature thingy below. So satisfying putting the debt paid of number up and remaining down! 😃 little things hey!One little thing I am proud of, today as it’s payday I would almost always buy something for myself as “a treat” because it was payday, and we would always get a takeaway because it was payday! Today I did neither. The only money I spent was for the debts and money transferred into my bills account.Tomorrow I will have to do a little shop, before out big “monthly” shop gets delivered on Thursday.Feeling very positive which is a first for me!Fluffy xHighest Debt - £35,180.37 (May 2020)

Glad you have managed to avoid a takeaway. If takeaways are your downfall can you get a supermarket takeaway to keep in the freezer for the next time you are tempted? The good pizzas are £3/4 which is a lot cheaper, I don't know which curries or Chinese meals are best. Some burgers cook from frozen. Off. course if you like cooking you can make curries etc for the freezer.0

Well done on paying some off debt and on avoiding a takeaway.
Just reading through and one thing I did when I was clearing debt and still do now is I do prolific surveys. They are generally more interesting than usual survey sites and can pay quite a bit. The minimum payout is £5 and every time I get to £5 I cash out and move to savings. It keeps me going through the month and it’s amazing how the little bits add up.0 -

Okay great, i would be interested in doing some of those. Do you have any suggestions which sites/surveys are the best?
Thanks

So today not been in the best headspace, but still resisted a takeaway! Proud!
We went shopping and spent £42.70 splits between 2 was £21.35. So that was all I spent today. In Tesco, Pizza Express pizza was half price so we got one of those and some Birds Eyes buttermilk chicken strips and had that for tea. We really enjoyed it, more so than a takeaway!
I also downloaded ZipZero for receipts so will make little bits on that as and when I scan in my receipts, which is a bonus. Also I asked my Grandad today if he could save me his papers every week and then I can scan the fivers code thingy in the sun. I used to do this at work but as I haven't been and I don't buy a paper I have been missing out, but seeing him buy the sun today prompted me. He said he didn't use them as hes useless with technology so that will be a £5 every month I guess. I have a few weeks worth I picked up today that he had so am going to scan them in before bed.

So first of the month today means most of my debts get paid on standing order.
I pay extra throughout the month as and when I think I can afford to loose that bit of money. I am going to wait til further into my month before I do that this month as I normally end up leaving myself short, and because I am sticking to my budget this month (religiously) I want to see what I am 'left with'.
Nothing to report really, I scanned in the suns fiver codes and have 1 being processed and am 6 away from another one, so by Saturday I should have another £5 coming!
Someone posted about doing surveys and such for money, does anyone have any good websites for them? I would be interested in doing a few to help make a few extra pennies.
I did work from home on my 2nd job to make sure I get a little pay-out in the middle of the month. I made it, so that should be about £50.00, have to put tax and NI though. Worked a few hours on there today as well, trying to log on every day this week. Its just very hard to discipline my self when working from home but I keep thinking I am not doing anything else and need all the extra pennies I can get!
Sorry for rambling!
Hope everyone is having a good 1st June!

Hi Fluffy, there's quite a few survey sites, some better than others. It's been a while since I've been on this site but there used to be a section on here, I think it was called Boost your Income, something like that, that might be worth a look.
Anyway, I used to use various ones but I just do the more reliable ones now. Prolific Academ1c is great, really interesting studies rather than surveys. Onep0ll is good too, quick and easy, only 10p or 20p a time but they do add up. And I do Youg0v, Populusl1ve and Valued Opini0ns too, they're a bit less frequent though. I hope that helpsLBM in 2015 - £7000 in debt 2020 - CC - £18 outstanding

Another vote here for Prolific academic. It’s the only one I do now. I used to do when I was debt busting and then stopped for a year and half. Now I am back doing the studies again. They are more than just surveys and usually pay very reasonably.0
