Finding a work replacement

Hi there,
I'm thinking of leaving my current full time job and going back to my old place who have offered me a part time position. In the current climate would it be difficult to find a replacement as I'm concerned about leaving my current employer in a difficult position. They're accountants and the lockdown has affect this profession (in terms of workload) heavily. How difficult is it nowadays to find a replacement? The new person would have to work remotely and be trained remotely too. I'm working in accountancy so there is plenty of demand in this area.
Thanks
Sam

We've had two colleagues join us during lockdown and although it's not ideal it can be made to work. Two more likely to joins us soon.
One other thing to remember (apart from it not being your problem) is that there are LOTS of people looking for work right now ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

SamGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
Just offer to work your full notice, (they will cope.)
I was only saying to family the very best thing about homeworking, is it now going to give overlooked people who may have been physically unable to get into an Employers building in the past, a level playing field.
A company recently who required credit control, had good customer reviews, sound business and advertising as paying a max scale of £1,500 per month though immediate start had an expired job in like 2 days.(kind of gutted, have to keep telling one self well it was an immediate start!)

The other thing to consider is that an ex is an ex for a reason.
