Myjar irresponsible lending

Has anyone been having trouble with myjar
They have deliberately locked me out of my account. So I can't see the history of my loans and are asking me for copies of bank statements
I know I have taken six increasing loans taken out the day after the previous one was paid back.
I am unwilling to provide the bank statements, as they were happy to lend me the money each time with out asking me about my financial situation.
Is that a reasonable thing for me to do... Should they have asked me that before giving me the loans

Maybe they are concerned about irresponsible borrowing.
Dont know why you would withhold information they have asked for, especially not if you want to borrow anything from them in the future
  • Are you worried they will find out you lied on your applications and go after you for fraud?

Are you telling us here that if they had asked to see your bank statements before lending you any money, you would have obliged, even if it meant being refused?

What is it you want to achieve?  Are you making a claim against them for irresponsible lending?  Do your loans show up on any of your credit files which you can access for free through MSE Credit Club, ClearScore and Credit Karma?  Alternatively you can submit a subject access request to myjar to get details of your loans.

If you don't want to send the lender any bank statements then don't.  Just say that you will send the ombudsman any information that is needed.

If your bank statements support your complaint that the loans weren’t affordable, why not send them? If they don’t, why are you complaining?
