    Discount on what?
If 30% of the property price - how is the seller then compensated?

Saw Barratts are offering 5% upto a maximum of £15k off a new build for NHS, but I think it's more a marketing ploy than genuine discount.
I don't think 30% off housing for NHS is realistic or workable or possibly even fair.

Maybe the OP did not mean 30% off the property price.  Maybe, an offer from a mortgage lender of 30% off the arrangement fees.  That could be possible.  We need the OP to clarify what they mean.

The devil will be in the detail (e.g. will you only be able to sell to other keyworkers?) and how keen mortgage lenders are on them (they are generally wary of things which restrict the marketability to a particular sector of buyers).
  • The 30% is an affordable homes things. NHS and keyworkers will be given first refusal. However the same discount applies to the next buyer, so you can't sell at a profit. I.e. Too good to be true.
Barratts and DWH are offering a 15% deposit towards a new home, purely for NHS workers.
  • Sorry, a 5% deposit. Typo.
  • It's called First homes and I beileve it's still in consoltation/delayed mode.
