Pityriasis Rosea - Has anyone any tips please? :(

Hi everyone I hope you're all coping OK in these strange times.
A few weeks ago I started with some blotches which I presumed were maybe ringworm, and it turns out to be pityriasis rosea. I've tried steroid creams, antihistamines, but the itching/burning is grim and usually starts at 2am. I know there's no cure so I'm reluctant to pester the docs just now.
Still getting new patches so I guess it'll be a long haul.
Has anyone else had this? Can anyone suggest anything that might help please?
Best wishes
Lucy

I hope you've found some relief since you posted!
When I had it years and years ago, my mum found me a cooling, moisturising body mist/light spray thing from Boots (one of their 'natural' looking ranges I think). It offered some temporary relief from the horrendous itch. They don't make that one any more but a quick Google might bring up something similar.1 -
Vague memory of when I had this -- camomile lotion might help.
Edit: possibly witchhazel as well1 -
Thanks so much for your reply! I've only just managed to get back on sorry for the delay. I'll have a look on the Boots page thank you, it really has been miserable to try and manage. It seems to be getting better but new patches are still springing up, I seem to get lulled into thinking it's clearing up and then it appears somewhere else 😢rach_k said:I hope you've found some relief since you posted!

I'd never heard of it before, hopefully it is a once a lifetime thing for us!
Thank you again for your help 🙂

Ooh ta I'll try all of these! I have some witch hazel in and hadn't thought of trying that. There's some many patches I could do with just bathing in it 😄Vague memory of when I had this -- camomile lotion might help.

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply, sorry for the delay getting back on!
Best wishes

Sorry I meant Calamine not camomile. Hope something helps and that it is gone soon.1
