Sos if this is a daft question, but you lot know by now how daft I can be  :)

Would some kind soul please explain what it means on Instagram to "share to your story"? And can I do this with a laptop?

Thanks

I don't think you can do it on a computer, or at least I can't work out how to do it. On a phone, you click the little paper icon under the photo and do it that way.

As far as what a story is, it's separate to your feed. If you click on someone's icon you'll see their story. Each post to your story only appears for 24 hours. This is why you need to tag the brand in the story post so they'll have a record of you sharing it to their story. You do this by typing @ and their handle when sharing the post to your story.

Thank you LOADS for that. It makes sense that I probably can't do this on my laptop. I've been trying for a long time, and have Googled it sometimes too and got nowhere. I'll give up now.

    Much appreciated
