Cheap mega bargain washing machine

This seems to be a regular Xmas occurrence now, Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas if our washing machine didn't break down. This one is about 4 years old now though so I guess it's had a fairly good run...and a few a repairs.

Ok then guys and gals where can I get a washing machine for less than £200 preferably that has had a huge dicount and was previously double that!?

Should I bother with a warranty? Washing machines do seem prone to going wrong....

I've tried Tesco and Argos and they've got a few bargains but the best ones have gone.

What about 2nd hand?
Some people will landfill their old machine if they change their kitchen etc, even if it's working fine.

Look on freecycle/gumtree/local free ads

Yup the beko certainly seems to be the cheapest on the market right now but although it is cheap it's not really the bargain I'm looking for as it was never expensive to start with. If they were still in stock then these would've been ideal:

Actually looking at the Argos site there do seem to be quite a few with a decent amount off...perhaps it's just the pain of parting with me cash that is preventing me from making a purchase

Both myself and sister have just replaced our washing machines via the comet auctions and i got a lg 1600 speed, direct drive and big drum capacity for £265 inclusing delivery and sis managed to get an lg 1400 big drum capacity one for just over £200 delivered. Watch the auctions and if you can go for a machine that closes mid week and before 5pm as there seems to be less people bidding on those;)

Argh! Yes I was just looking at Comet auctions the other day, even book marked 'em, but completely forgot to look there for a washing machine.

Anyway I couldn't wait any longer. The Servis machines all seemed to be on sale across most retailers but I done a bit of research on the brand and it didn't look good, hence the sales I guess....

However Hotpoint does seem to have a good reputation and someone told me to look on the Co-Op site. I managed to find a Hotpoint there with £135 off for just £229, so I googled the model and found it £10 cheaper at Kitchen Science (I don't think it was ever £365 as co-op claimed). Anyway I'm sick to death of washing machines and our laundry is piling up so I got it.

And the missus says I never treat her....
