I like frozen spinach as I'm the only one in my house who loves it so it's handy just to get a block out for me. I also only use frozen peas. Other than that I use fresh veg mainly but keep supplies of casserole mix and broccoli as it so convenient on the days I work to make a quick meal.

I do also freeze my own veg sometimes, especially swede (which I loathe peeling and chopping), I freeze some of it before I cook it.

I only have a larder freezer so limited in what I can fit in.

We don't eat much meat so I tend to buy fresh but if it's close to use by date rather than waste it I put it in the freezer.

  • Was just wondering if you think frozen vegetables are better than fresh?

Do you think it will be more beneficial to us to buy alot of frozen suff i.e meat and vegetables to cook from scratch or still buy fresh?

Hi there! I use a mixture of fresh and frozen veg (and tinned tomatoes ;) ).

I never buy frozen meat, but do freeze fresh meat.

I buy frozen fish as we have no fresh fishmonger near us :D

Try this thread - fresh v frozen veg.

I'll add this to the existing thread on fresh v frozen food.
