COVID & maintenance

Options
My ex is self employed and cannot pay me full maintenance during the current crisis, can he get any help towards making his payments to me?  He dropped his maintenance by 2/5ths in 2018 and now he tells me he’ll pay me what he can as soon as he can, this will mean I won’t be able to pay all my bills now without using savings, which will be gone in a matter of months!
Is it me or has this issue slipped through the government cracks?
Thanks

That's what savings are for - emergencies.

Nothing to do with the government - you presumably already get some support from the state.

No, why would presumably the government, give him money to meet his child support commitments.

Your ex should be receiving 80% of his self employed salary from the government scheme soon, so I'm guessing that when it arrives he will pay his child maintenance based on that figure.

Quite a few self employed don't qualify for any of the schemes that have been put in place
