Evening peps
Went bankrupt in March made a preferential payment to parents (£2000) they received a letter today asking for information on the letter it says to email them, my parents are 70+ and wouldn't have a scooby about emails so can I send the or an email explaining this or will I have to sort an email out for the parents ? And also what would I put in the email useless at this sort of thing

You need to contact your OR really, it maybe you can do the email, but they maybe concerned about getting it from the horses mouth so to speak. I'd hope the OR could either do it over the phone or by physical letter if needs be

Thanks for the reply will drop them an email tomorrow0

I paid them 2grand so will they just have to pay this back no fees or anything?0

I’m fairly sure there would be no fees, at least not if it’s a simple repayment (if it gets to court action say there could be additional fees, I’m not sure)0

There are no fees.1

Hi again quick question will I have to go to court as I made a preferential payment i told official reciever about the payment at my interview didn't know know i wasnt allowrd too but have just read about it on citizens advice website saying it's bad ???
Also paid the money back on cash will this make a difference they have already said they will pay it back anyway thanks0 -
Very very very unlikely you'd be going to court. First off you have no money (your bankrupt), secondly its £2k not £2m so there are limits as to how far the OR would go

The Citizens Advice website does tend to overstate problems. If you read all their warnings on DROs you'd never do one.1

Thanks for the info thought it was a bit full on since at my interview i told them about the payment and all he said was will put note on case and would have to return payment in the future many thanks again0
