Does anyone know who is now offering mortgages on new build houses? Long story..... My credit rating isn't great but we have 36% deposit. My broker is rubbish at getting back to me...

My credit rating was pretty horrific, mainly partying my way through my teens with out a care in the world. Got a mortage on a new build with Precise.0

Sadly what worked for someone else in the past, may not be suitable for someone else. I suggest a broker if your not sure as criteria's change all the time and products get pulled or reinstated which only brokers will know about"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

My broker is short of useless. I seem to know more than him.csgohan4 said:Sadly what worked for someone else in the past, may not be suitable for someone else. Some are better than others, but better than stabbing in the dark and choosing a lender at randomConfused789 said:

Did you get yours from Estate agent? or one commonly advertised by MSE?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

How different is a "new build mortgage " to a normal one? They were hoping to complete in about 2 months0

A mortgage is a mortgage, either the land / property is / will be sufficient collateral for the lender or it won't.
It's also your credit history, not rating / score, seen and used by the lenders as they have their own way of scoring you based on their own algorithm.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
