TUPE - Shift Allowance

I was TUPE from one company where we didn't have shift allowance when working nights to a company that does in October 2018. We have recently been advised that as of 1st April 2020 that we will receive the shift allowance, all other staff that have worked for the company we have TUPE to that are on my pay grading have always received it but we have not. My question is should I be entitled to back pay since I switched companies?
