Ah OK. I see where the confusion was. The £12,500 wasn't the VT point. It was a P/X value.
Your VT point was ~£16,950.

Indeed - he was essentially trying to “hide” an extra 2.5k in the figures. I could have VTd and had nothing to pay. Very misleading
