Oil Fired Stanley Superstar (60) help

Hi, I was hoping someone may be able to shed a light on this for us. My partner and I bought a house this week and we have a Stanley Superstar (60) oil fired range that provides the central heating and hot water, although we do have a separate hot water immersion thing too.

We have no operating instructions and the plumber got it started yesterday but we don't really know how to use is properly. Eg there are two thermostat temp. controls one for the boiler and one for the cooker, however they seem to be interdependent on each other. We also have a programmer on the wall which you can time for central heating etc.

I know it's probably a case of trial and error and we do use a similar range every summer on our holiday, but just wondered if anyone had any tips, or ideally, the same model and can email me a copy of the operating manual.

I've emailed the manufacturer and requested an operating manual but can't seem to find anything useful online in the meantime.

I'm sure most of you have proper boilers etc but just thought it was worth an ask 😂. Thank you! X

@Juliekins, I just wanted to say that i feel your pain.  I've used a Stanley on holidays, when staying at my friend's holiday home in France.

    Good luck,

  • Thanks for all your help guys. I've managed to get the full manual from the manufacturer. It appears even with the settings correct on Stanley there are problems with the radiators/central heating working correctly. Luckily we are still within our five working day period after completion to report this to our solicitors / the seller so will wait and see what they say. Fingers crossed for us!

Hopefully a good service will sort those issues out for you.

    Fingers crossed,
