Agency workers pay

Under the new pay parity legislation surely I should be paid the same 10% bonus that my work colleagues are being paid extra for working through this covid crisis

How long have you worked there in the role you are currently doing?

Then it depends on how the bonus is described.  Pay does not include bonuses which reward loyalty.

Sounds like a loyalty bonus of sorts - that they have loyally turned up for work.

    Worth asking your agency though.

As an agency worker you are already costing the company more an hour then an employee so I would of thought it were unlikely. Where i work agency workers are not eligible for any bonus

    From the government advice

After 12 weeks you’re entitled to be paid the same as a permanent employee doing the same job.

A bit more detail about bonus etc

  • The new rules on agency workers rights are as follows "pay includes any payment in connection with an agency workers employment including certain bonus payments overtime payments shift allowances premiums paid for working unsociable hours and holiday pay. The regulations excludes bonuses paid for the amount or quality of work done by the worker, company sick pay maternity paternity and adoption pay any pension contributions and severance pay"
