Frozen Bank Account

How long has the current account been frozen? All banks have their own processes on what they do when they are informed of a bankruptcy. A bit like energy/hire purchase companies their T&C's will have a clause about BR - if it's already been a few days it won't be much longer typically 5 working days in a straightforward BR. So a week in 'real' days. From what the OR has said in their letter yours is a straightforward BR so they won't be requesting reams of statements from your bank.I'm afraid it's a patience game until the bank releases it. You can ask the OR to contact the bank again but it will be up to your case examiner and they can say that they've done enough sending the letter to the bank.1

I would strongly suggest that you are open and honest with the OR about the payments, trying to keep these things under the radar can end up looking worse. It maybe that you have to let down your mates, but the worst case is that you are sanctioned by the OR and the OR seeks to reclaim the money. You might find that if you tell the OR they will declare they have no interest and you can proceed with no worrying about ithadenoughnow said:if the OR gets wind of these payments, they may want them, but I don’t want to let the other 5 lads down that have a share of the refunds.0 -
I think what OR is saying is that they have no interest in the funds in that account, I’m not sure you can assume that the OR has no interest in prior conduct of the accountToxtethO'Grady said:How long has the current account been frozen? All banks have their own processes on what they do when they are informed of a bankruptcy. Out of interest how big a refund are we talking?I expect the process will be somewhat different say between a refund of under a hundred, hundred to thousand and those in thousands. The reason being that the OR isn’t likely to be interested IMHO in sub 100 but would no doubt be interested in thousands0
