I didn't say I was a teacher, I said I teach in a primary school, I am a Higher Level Teaching Assistant so I cover whole classes when teachers have their planning and prep time.Comms69 said:Honestly how can you not be in the union? My fantastic Head Teacher has said in my position I am authorised to be off, so for now I am safe. Feel so relieved but so guilty for my colleagues who will have to go in.

HLTA, teacher, cleaner, secretary, dinner lady, caretaker - I agree with Comms that anyone working in a school should be in a union. Not worth running the risk of an accusation being made which the school is required to investigate: I'd want someone on 'my' side not the school's side.frogga said:
