Virgin mobile non-defaults

Hello, just wanted to make sure I should be able to get a pair of accounts off my Equifax file.
They are from 2012 with Virgin Mobile and no payments have been made since 2012 when I had severe financial difficulties.
Have managed to clean up my file but these are still hanging about.
I have never been defaulted by them however with my record showing 6 months late payment since 2014.
It shows the accounts opened in 2012 but reporting only seems to start from mid-2014.
I was going to use Resolver but seems Virgin no longer working with them so If I write to them claiming they are statute barred and should have been defaulted 8 years ago and therefore no longer on my file will that be sufficient?

Never use Resolver. You want your complaint to get to the right place.

The account is most likely Statute Barred. Drop a letter in the post to them.
