Getting a mortgage and relocating, help!

Hi I'm looking to get a mortgage on a property, I'm a First time buyer and would be looking to use the help to buy scheme, I have a 5% deposit for the house I'm interested in and extra for other costs. I already have a decision in principle however what's causing me great concern is how likely a mortgage with Barclays is likely to be accepted as me and my partner currently live and work in kent and the property is in Cheshire. Therefore the issue is what do we do next as we dont want to rent as we already have lived nearby before and are familiar with the area but at the same time we won't be in a position to commute to our current jobs. Will one job offer be sufficient for barclays and will it be acceptable if one of us stays in kent and the other works in Cheshire until we get similar roles as we are able to stay with parents in kent. How likely are we to be accepted for a mortgage?? What could we do to improve our chances??? if there was a possibility I could work from home would this be sufficient???

Get jobs in Cheshire first and rent for a short period. I tried to do what you are doing years back, and it just led to trouble. What if you can't get jobs in Cheshire after buying?
