I found this tool/implement in my MiL kitchen (after she passed away) Does anyone know what it is? it has come out huge on the picture, it is actually 6 inches long. thanks

It is a grapefruit segmenter. The grapefruit is cut in half. The pointy end is put in either side of the fibrous segment dividers from the outside to the middle. You have to go down each divider. This lifts the segment from the bottom and sides. You can then spoon out each fleshy segment, especially if you go round the outside with a knife.Imagine a bike wheel, you put the pointy bit so the spoke is in the gap between the "skateboards" on the tool, aim for the centre of the wheel. Then repeat for every spoke. Then take a knife and cut every spoke where it joins the rim.10
