Anyone ever seen it stay this high (999) for so long?

Why do it at a time like this ?, I have no doubt they will all go, but they would have gone sooner if they were released earlier in the evening.

Maybe they do it at a time like this so that their site isn't swamped causing it to crash as Gamestation's was a couple of weeks ago! Though I'm sure Amazon could cope with lots of heavy traffic!
