ICS course & change of circumstances

August last year my employer paid for me to complete a CIPD course with ICS. A couple of months after starting the course I was asked to take on more responsibility at work due to people leaving. I emailed ICS and requested the course be deferred which they refused but told me I could extend monthly by paying extra. Now with the Coronavirus I am an essential and key worker and have explained my situation again to ICS asking if they can cancel the course and refund my employer a pro rata amount, again they have refused. I just wondered if anybody had been in a similar situation and how they dealt with it.

Sounds like your employer should be dealing with it. You are not the customer.0

Your employer paid for this, so they have to accept they will take a hit on the course fees unless they can ensure you have time to do the course. Their choice.0
