IPA Advice

Options
Hi All
Still looking for a clear answer, preferrably from someone that has recently gone BR and entered into an IPA.
I have been told that mine will be £140 a month, and that a solicitor will be looking after this and will want payslips each month. Is this definitely the case? or do they just leave it to trust that you earn what you say. Would be nice to still work the odd overtime shift for 2 reasons, 1 to earn the extra and 2 so that i dont !!!!!! the bosses off!.

Advice from anyone in the same boat would be appreciated,

Cheers

The odd overtime shift is not a problem as only regular income should be considered when calculating your surplus income. My advice would be to do overtime sparingly - enough to not pee off the boss and not enough that it’s seen as regular income.

But is it a certainty that I will be asked for payslips?

It may depend on wether you have a trustee in place or not.

There as far as I know is no allowance for overtime and they are entitled to collect it, the amount collected could change every month if needs be. Of course the expenses may change too, additional shifts mean more travelling cost etc

If you are in a job where wage never changes they won’t want your wage slip each month, if your wage varies (say due to hours worked varying) they might want it. It maybe that they only want to see wage slips for first few months to get a better picture as to what your average wages are and the amount of variance

long term I doubt they want to be varying the amount each month, but they also have a duty to ensure the right amount is collected

Ok I will see how it goes and knock the overtime on the head for a few months, I was just hoping someone in the same boat right now could give a better picture. Cheers
