Why not start at 100%, and see how that goes?0

But this whole site is about saving money. Why would anyone in their right mind pay more than necessary?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job1 -

Anyway, try it and see what they say.0 -
From experience I doubt capital one will accept 50%. I made an offer to a lender yesterday and they said they would accept 85% but I have had other lenders offer me 60% to settle. Might depend on the size of the debt and how old it is It's worth a try though, even if you save a small portion.0

What’s the worst that can happen? They say no...
As above, I’d start with 50% and see what they say.
