PPI Reclaiming-sent 1st letter requesting loan details, no reply after 40 days.
Hi
After hearing Martin Lewis discussion on the radio about loan insurance my partner said that when he took out a loan which finished 2 years ago, he was sold insurance to go with it and told at the time that he had to have the insurance. The loan was with his bank, Lloyds/TSB. So after going through the information about reclaiming, we downloaded the letter requesting the details of the loan insurance from his bank, as he no longer had them. The letter does state that the information must be given within 40 days, and it has now gone long past that and we still have heard nothing from them. The letter was sent to his local branch. We are going to go in personally to the bank as soon as he has a day off but has anyone else had this problem this early on, especially with Lloyds/TSB? Any suggestions?
Many thanks Mellymarz

The branch would have sent it on to the Personal Loan centre.
If you are going to call at a branch I would suggest taking a copy of everything with you.
It may be a simple thing like the letter being lost in the internal post.0
