Cheap initial Magazine subscription

I'm not sure this is the right part of the forum for this, but here goes!
I've seen a magazine I like with a special offer (3 mags for £3)- what is the trick for getting the cheap magazines and unsubscribing so I don't get stuck paying full whack for the subscription (£17.50 for 6 months)?
Should I sign up and unsubscribe straight away (would I still get the 3 mags?) or wait to receive two mags and then unsubscribe- Thoughts?

I was wondering if anyone had done this themselves and any experiences (Hearst magazines)?Projects 2020-
