Dmp and Mortgage advice please!

Hello,
Can anyone help?
I am on a DMP with 3.5K left to pay.
On my credit file, the debt visible is a CCJ from March 15 of £550 satisfied and 2 defaults from 2014 so my credit file will be crystal clear from March 2021.
Me and my partner are looking at shared ownership (we understand the cons) and I know that I can't get a shared ownership mortgage on a DMP. My questions is, would it be possible to get the mortgage now if I paid the DMP off in full and just the 5 year old defaults and ccj were still on my file or do I need to wait until March next year when they have completely gone?
My partner has really good credit so it's just me that having trouble.
Also, is it possible for him to obtain the mortgage but for me to be on the lease? I highly doubt that's possible but just checking.
Thank you!

The sooner you clear the DMP. The sooner that you can start rebuilding your credit history.0

My report will be clear by March 21. Thanks for the reply. That wasn't quite the question though. Thanks anyway. The sooner you clear the DMP. The sooner that you can start rebuilding your credit history.

For your own security be party to the mortgage. Even if means overcoming a few hurdles.1

You have put 4 posts up relating to debt and obtaining a mortgage, within them posts at least one broker has commented on each, including your last one when you were advised of the issue with S/O and the DMP. You would have been better going back into your other thread, quoting the broker and asking or messaging them.
With DMPs and adverse lenders you are either in a DMP, have been for at least a year and run it satisfactory or are at least one year clear from it.
With high street lenders, there are a few who are fine with people who have been in a DMP previously.
I very recently completed my mortgage, with a CCJ / defaults etc and I picked my broker off MSE because I liked the way he handled the queries members put up and appeared to be friendly / non-judgmental (unlike a local one I had a brief chat with). Mine wasn't S/O.
Perhaps stick to one thread and keep asking questions, rather than a scatter gun approach as it makes it easier to have all the information you have given, people have said, in one place.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Thanks, I appreciate your response. I did quote the previous mortgage advisor in my previous query but he didn't reply and I don't want to trouble anybody. My threads have had different questions so I felt it would be better to make a new post. The issue is that shared ownership is a much more limited market than your typical mortgage and so I understand that it is possible to get a regular mortgage but I'm unsure whether any lenders will consider defaults for shared ownership mortgages. Anyway, since its so difficult to get an answer, I think I will just have to pay the DMP off and try after March next year when I've been clear for one year.

You have to appreciate the brokers are working and come in here in their free time, you need patience and to wait for their response.
If you want an immediate (ish) response, find a broker. Doesn't mean you are going for a mortgage straight away but you will get advice and guidance, work towards whatever they say.
Do you have to do S/O, restricting your options?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
