Wedding cancellation refund

My close friend had her wedding cancelled 3.5.20 due to Covid 19. She was offered an alternative date of Nov 21 but this wasn’t suitable due to the time of year. Has been told she can’t get her deposit of £850 back. She has today attempted to do a charge back through her bank but they say they can’t as she made the payment over 120 days ago. She also booked her honeymoon back in 2018 for the wedding and that is being refunded in full no problem from the travel company. Just wondered if anyone else has had issue with charge back.? Seems so unfair that the bank won’t do it due to being paid over 120 days ago
