Regarding Santander Bounce back loan - I have a standard personal current account with Santander which I have used for by business and personal transactions for many years.
The criteria appears to say that you do not need a business account  -  I have tried to apply for Bounce back loan  yet on the registration page it asks for business account details - I fill in form using my standard current account, it asks for name on self assesment form which in my case is my personal name so I fill this in,  but then on next page it says account not recognized?
Tried several times but to no avail. Can any-one advise please?
On mums.net this is a very familiar story

the official line is you don’t need a business account but in practice you do

I applied for a temporary feeder account with HSBC and still haven’t heard 😩 I am worrying sick. We will not survive without this loan. Can someone please help
has anyone heard back of hsbc for the feeder account yet, i called they took a few details and said somebody would be in touch but not heard anything since last week yet?
  • so the bounceback loan is for 3 months profit whilst we are locked down and unable to work. now the government has extended the grant scheme for another 3 months so we can claim a 2nd grant at 70%...iam wondering if they will allow a second bounceback loan to cover the next 3 months of this lockdown..

I run a small business and have submitted my SA for over 5 years and have been told that i am not entitled to SEISS. I asked for a review and was advised that my unearned income was not 50% more than my earned income. After checking my accounts on HMRC site i realised this was due to an error on my SA which was made by my accountant. I was only £20 less than 50% of my earned!! Anyway i am now trying to get a BBL and still waiting to hear from HSBC, Tide and Starling. Hope thay come back to me soon because i am now desparate. Anyone heard from this feeder account from HSBC.

I too use a personal account for business with Santander. I am currently going through the application process online - I get emailed a link to provide more info every other day or so. I’m 10 years in self employment with them, but when you’re self employed company name is your own & you supply a service to others so have no incoming invoices proving an active business it’s quite hard to prove things. I found that if what they request is a bit difficult to do, I write a note in a text editor, save it as a pdf & upload that too (there’s no way to communicate with them online otherwise). That seems to be working & they’ve now corrected a misspelling & requested invoice examples that tie in with specific transactions in the bank account I use for work. I’m now just keeping my fingers crossed.
