Patio weeding tool with telescopic pole

Hi

I'm about to buy a Patio weeding tool (shaped like an L shape) for weeding between patio stones, and I noticed that you can get a telescopic pole with some of them. This would allow you to stand up whilst weeding the patio. Does anyone have any experience with the telescopic pole version? I have a load of tools that I've bought that look good, but don't work in practice. I don't want it to be another one of those to add to the pile!
Many thanks

Do Wolf Garten do what you want? I have one of their extending poles & several heads to fit it for different jobs.

    Hi
Thanks for the reply. Yes that'll do the job just fine. I guess my question is, will it be practical to weed standing up, or is a pole just a novelty that won't work very well in practice? Guess I'll have to just try it!
    Thanks

I use mine with a hoe, a lawn edger, a cultivator, etc. I have back trouble & I can't work bent over so it helps me.

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

I generally find that "things on poles" aren't all they are cracked up to be.
With garden tools pick designs that have been around a longtime, they will have been around a longtime because they will have stood the test of time.

Old tools can be found at bargain prices in jumbles, flea markets, charity and junk shops.
The other place is the FOC's placed outside houses. I'm finding bumper crops of FOC's  at the moment because of the amount of spring cleaning caused by lockdown..._

While it's a pain bending down, sometimes literally, I have a cheap little one that;s just a hand tool and it's well, ok.  They should be fairly sharp so if you are using one on a pole be sure to wear long trousers and closed shoes in case of slips.
Personally I find that getting leverage from ground level works better.
Ditto those wire brush things on a pole for doing block paving are ok if you have a whole driveway but a hands and knees job for a smaller area you have more control.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
