Welcome and lots of luck to you. Well done on getting rid of your debt.
I am slightly obsessed with the OP calculator and use it in the same way as you and also to work out how much interest a one off payment will save me.Mortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650. Hello all!
My new mortgage started on the 1st July but it has taken until this time to get set up with online banking and sussing out the overpayment procedure. I am pleased to report that I have made my 1st overpayment of £350 which hit my account today - woo hoo! Unfortunately I am still furloughed but hoping for some good news in the next few weeks. I have been putting someof the time to good use and am having a review of finances. Firstly I am looking to switch energy supplier. I am currently with Tonik and it is really hard to get in contact with them. It is so sad as they used to be so good! When I switch I will save about £10 a month so that can go to the overpayments too. I am also due to switch from my mobile contract to sim only so that will save at least another £10 a month yeay!
@longway2go @kaycastle @MovingForwards @Mortgagefreegonnabe - thank you for your comments back in May! I haven't commented until now as I wanted to feel like a proper part of the overpayment crew by actually making an overpayment!
Hope everyone is well

Looking forward to reading your mortgage free story as it happens! Also a guilty pleasure of playing about with the OP calculators! I have too conjured up a list like yourself of how many years I could potentially cut off my mortgage term if I overpaid a certain amount! Well done on your first OP!Debt Remaining: £8,781.53

So I got the call and I am back to work on the 27th July - woo hoo! I've been furloughed on 80% of wage which I am so grateful for but I can't wait to be back on the full amount So just under 2 weeks to haul a$$ and get all the outstanding jobs on the house finished including rebuilding the walls at the front of the house. I must say the house is looking pretty good at the moment following all the attention it has had!"Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison
