Hi, I am employed as a NHS nurse. I have had problems with my tax previously when HMRC had me as having a company car!!! I thought that was sorted a couple of years ago but suddenly my tax code has changed to BRCUMUL for my basic monthly salary. I occasionally work a couple of hours extra a week, especially at the moment as I am working in critical care. This is paid by my employer as “bank” with tax code 888L CUMUL. bank is paid weekly, salary monthly (£30615 pa). Is this correct, I have tried to contact HMRC but website sends me round in circles and I waited 45 mins on phone through my entire lunch break. My deductions are over a ⅓ of my pay.

Do you / did you ever have a salary sacrifice lease car ? What does your on line tax account show for your employments ? What does your on line tax account show for the reasoning behind your tax codes ?

I reckon HMRC have a seriously high estimate of your salary in this tax year, given that we are at the beginning. Ring tomorrow at 7.59 and ask for your personal allowances to be granted at your main job with the bank income taxed at BR.choccyness said:Hi, I am employed as a NHS nurse.
