MY 2ND FAILED ATTEMPT TO TRANSFER MY DB PENSION:
Because of recent changes and stricter underwriting (due to further guidance from the FCA and increases to the compensation amount, which in turn meant that our PI insurers beefed up our criteria for suitability), the risk management team has decided that your case does not fall within our new criteria and so they will not accept the liability of a transfer. This does not mean that our advice is not to transfer, it is simply saying that, as a firm, AHFP will not accept the business as it falls outside of the criteria we set. Other advisory firms may be willing to help you with the transfer but not us.
