new to mortgages

Hi I don't know if anyone can help.  We inherited our property over 12 years ago with no mortgage payments, previously to that we was in rented accomation.
We are thinking of selling this one to buy another property, would we be classed as first time buyers? as we have never had a mortgage before

"Classed as" for what purpose? There isn't a universal definition. You wouldn't be for stamp duty purposes, for example.
  • Thank you for your response, as I said we don't have much idea about mortgages
