Employer trying to cut pay

So my OH emailed his work yesterday explaining that he would be in but would be doing so under protest. He also asked for a copy of his contract and JD. 

I'm hoping he will get a response today but who knows. 

My OH has barely slept and was super worried all evening because 1, he doesn't want to get ill and 2, he thinks he'll get in trouble. Oh and then he did start to doze off the dog threw up and woke him at 6am - typical!

My partner hasn't received a reply to his email on Sunday although the HR Manager has been sending other emails.
They lasted 50 minutes on Monday morning before everyone started kicking off. It would seem everyone other than my partner has a contract and their contracts say the company has to give them one month's notice of any changes to pay. So the company is holding a meeting today for all the employees who have come back to work (hopefully with social distancing in mind!) to discuss the changes. I'm hoping that either before or after the meeting the HR Manager and/or the MD will speak to my partner as his issue is different to that of his colleagues. Not holding my breath though!
