Full Time Employment - Bank holiday on half day

I am in full time employment working the following shift:
Mon - Thu = 8.5 hrs each day
Friday = 5 hrs
Total = 39 hrs per week.
I am a little confused on bank/public holidays landing on a Friday (such as Good Friday) etc - should i be entitled to full shift hours off or just 5 hours?
Please advise.
Thanks,

    Bank holidays have no special meaning. But it seems 5 hours would be appropriate.

    I assume the same would be true if you simply took a 'self booked' annual leave day

    Thanks,
    Any holiday (bank or other) when you take a day off should be deducted from your holiday entitlement according to the number of hours you would otherwise work on that day.
    As you work different hours on Fridays, your holiday entitlement should be worked out in hours.  That would be 39 x 5.6 = 218.4.  (which could be rounded up to 218.5 hours but not down to 218)
    (That's also assuming that none of the 8.5 or 5 hours is unpaid break.)
