Instagram ban

Over the past few days I've had intermittent bans. Some only last a few minutes, this current one started yesterday afternoon after only entering about 5 comps and I still can't tag now. Are they onto me now? Will I continue to be monitored? Really, really annoying, especially when I use it for personal stuff as well. Thank you.

My ban got lifted this morning, entered 3 comps and got banned again 🤬. I can follow, I just cant comment or tag. 

Has this happened to anyone else? Do I just have to leave it for a bit longer or will it repeatedly happen?

I've only ever been banned for minutes at a time, anything from 2 - 20 at an estimate. It always happens when I'm tagging friends for comps. Thankfully that's all I use Instagram for. 
However, this thread reminds me fondly of Twitter jail. Pretty much a given on a Friday, but I can't say I have it now. Remember those comps, Select, Tetley etc?  I can always tell when a day in previous years has been a Friday when my FB memories pop up. Back then I'd share to a group of comping friends, but tag the company so they'd see it too. Didn't want my friends in RL bombarded :O 
Sadly we still seem to be losing more comps, #WallisWeekend, Jurys and Sudocrem have all disappeared in recent weeks. I could understand Jury's in current times, but the others are still accessible online.

Lol I know there are bigger issues at the moment but it's so frustrating. It seems like everything is on IG at the minute!

To much tagging on IG for my liking. You don't seem to have to tag as much on Twitter.

perhaps it is because instagram was started as a picture sharing site and not for competitions, seems to me to be an abuse of the site usage to run comps on it.
Let's face it, social network comps are just a  way of artificially increasing the promoters profile with likes, followers, shares, retweets, etc.

I keep getting banned too! Super frustrating. I'm trying to make sure I also post pictures and have genuine followers on my Instagram. I also try to only enter Instagram comps I really want to win. Super frustrating though.
