Hacking reimbursement

I was contacted by a large medical company to say their system was hacked and details were published online including in some instances personal medical details from screenings, however had since been taken down, they explained that even if my details were not uploaded there was a chance that these could be used in the future for fraud to take out loans etc.
They recommended following certain advice and one of these things was to register with CIFAS. A lot of the information they provided was around securing banking etc nothing really in relation to the support re the medical details.
I completed a GDPR request and the information they had was highly sensitive medical details including all the usual name address dob etc and I was pritty worried. Especially when they didnt really acknowledge this in their response, it was more of a case of "we dont hold any banking details on you"
I was advised by my solicitor to ensure I follow their information and to register with CIFAS even though no card details were held just to show that I had followed everything they had asked plus the details they had could open me up to loans etc.
A week later.....
I have recieved an email tonight to advise that the national cyber team had looked into this further and are now confirming that none of my information was stolen which honestly is a relief. I will tell my solicitor tomorrow that I no longer wish to sign up with them (I was due to do this tomorrow after I was asked to read through all of the paper work)

It does still leave me frustrated though that I am out of pocket by £25 for signing upto CIFAS on their advice.

I'm wondering if I should ask them to reimburse me this £25 as I've only taken it out on the advice of the medical company.
Thoughts? Any suggestions on how to aproach getting the £25 back or word the email?

It was clearly sound advice eat the time given even your solicitor agreed.

It’s £25 - unless you’re on the bones of your arse, I’d forget about it and move on with your life. It
