I wanna do...Christmas Crackers

I bought a litle kit to make 4 christmas crackers from "The works" (book shop) @ 1.49 (there was another one with 6 crackers but didn't like the colors)

I was wondering where else i could find this, cheaper and/or more joice choice of colors.

Thank you.

 oh just thought about something, some crackers are quite cheap now (fully made ones) Can you actually open them ??
Silly me... might be a bit more expensive but you can chose a specific design you like. mmh, have to think about it now :D

Yes you can open them.Just carefully untwist one end and shake out the junk LOL.
Then you can put in proper things and real jokes etc.
I sometimes buy the crackers in january (greatly reduced)and just take them apart. Then reuse the snaps and hats and use crepe paper to make a new cracker body.
You can buy just the snaps too. I saw some in hawkins bazaar this year.

In Poundland they have a pack of 6 make your own crackers ( for £1 ! ) - in plain gold or silver, with little decorations ( beads, bow, wee luggage tag type thing) that you can glue on yourself. I was in yesterday and they had loads, went back this morning to buy some and they'd all sold! I'm going to keep checking if they get more in as I thought they were lovely ( quite simple but stylish).
  • I always buy the shop bought crackers with a nice design and then upgrade them.
The year before last I included a scratchcard in each one and my FIL won £100.
this years will include retro sweets.
