Ex Bankrup mortgage help Please

HI

I dont know if anyone will have any information but me and my husband have been out of bankrupcy for over 12 months each now, but we seem to be only able to find morgages where we need a 15% deposit, (which is more money than we have) we currently owe no other money at all and have 3 years of paying rent without ever missing a payment on anything.

Does anyone know of a company that would do better than this??

Also if we went for a new build and tried to take up one of their offers of deposit paid etc would they accept us or not

thanks for any info

What house prices are you looking at and what deposit do you have?

What are your two gross yearly salaries?

  • We are looking for about 130k and our joint salary is 35k
  • Sub-prime mortgages are getting much harder to obtain, Its probably one of the worst times to be thinking of buying property anyway, probably a good idea to save up a bigger deposit and think about buying in a few years.

With only 5% deposit and only discharged 1 year ago - not very likely, especially in the current credit crunch climate
