E-submission details

Not sure where to post this so hoping someone can either point me in the correct direction or help.

Unfortunately, we had our systems hacked, which is bad enough, but then discovered that although we were backing up everything to the server, for some reason our external IT did nor realise that our server was not being backed up, so we have lost all of the data since the last time the server backed up. Consequently, I am now desperately trying to re-do the last 15 mths work while at the same time processing all current work, this is both accounts & payroll.

While all of our RTI was up to date, I did not have time to produce the P60's and I cannot find our E-Submission details anywhere. I have contacted HMRC by email to see if it possible for them to send me the data on the last submission. They have advised that they don't keep the data, but would be able to provide me with our E-Submission details but for security this would require a phone call, which is fine, but when I called the number they are only dealing with JRS. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Unfortunately, we run a weekly payroll in addition to the monthly one, so I obviously don't want to delay submissions for any longer than necessary.

A smile costs little but creates much :)

I think you need to ring them again and point out that they were the ones who said it would require a phone call. There's not likely to be any sensible alternative.

The good news on the P60s is that you don't have to supply them until 19th (?) May ...

I hope your external IT has good insurance.
