I used to count a win a win when i got the email/message to tell me i won. Now i only post about my wins when the item i have won has turned up. A few times i have been told i am a winner and not had my prize and then also been told i am a winner along with everyone else that entered the competition.
When do you post about your prizes?
Hope everyone is doing well considering the awful time we are in

A prize in the hand is worth two in the post. Count when received.1

I have a spreadsheet of wins and note when I am notified of the win. I have a column with Y/N so I know if I have received it or not. (Was more useful about 10 years ago when I was winning more!)Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.
An eye for an eye only leads to more blindness.1 -
What's a win LOL ?
2020 has been drier / dryer than a 7 year old cream cracker on a warm day
Normally count when receive notification3 -
I don't mention it to anyone before I have received the prize, that way no one else is disappointed just in case the prize never turns up, no one asking if a prize has arrived yet and keeps running totals of prize value correct.1

A lot of work? With the declining number of comps these days, not really. I used to spend 2 or 3 hours a night doing comps, now there aren't enough to keep me occupied for 1 hour on most days.
In the 70s and early 80s I used to keep a notebook listing every record, LP or single, that I bought and the date, long since thrown away but i do have my entire collection logged on a spreadsheet!
2025 Comps 2931: wins 3: value £1300
2024 Comps 13526: wins 13: value £14750
