How to Close an eBay USA account....

I have a UK account and a USA account.
I wish to close the USA account.
When I try to, it takes me to a page where I need to enter in my address and phone number. It only allows USA addresses and 'phone numbers.
It therefore does not close my account.
Does anyone out there have any idea how to do that as I am currently clueless?
I could ring up USA eBay and ask for help with closing the account, but it just seems silly. Also seems like the eBay phone contact number has been removed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Any ideas?

Curious as to how you opened it in the first place, and why, the only explanation is that you must have lived there ?Why do you need to close it ? Can’t you just carry on and forget about it, can’t see what difference it will make to be honest .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. No. I've never lived over there. It all began with me buying a new phone and registering one of my google accounts on my phone last week. I do use one of the email addresses for foreign transactions. Well, once registered it automatically seems to have registered with the USA site. Now I am getting inundated with spam in my in-folder and just want to delete the account to stop the spam. PITA.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

From what iv`e read it would be easier to just close the email account, rather than the ebay one, if its just the spam you want rid of.
