Nice day again so vit D levels will be ok again. Still working on the nowhere near perfect house... a week of grumpy sloth is now being paid for. I had a call with one of my close friends last night as it was his birthday. He was upset as i had sent him an afternoon tea hamper and he had taken some cake to the park and got told off for stopping at a bench and eating it. He was due a hip replacement last week but of course this was cancelled so as it it is now bone on bone he can't walk for long without a sit down for a minute. Apparently him eating some cake was the crime though lol. Strange though when so many are clearly flouting the rules by having people they don't live with visit regularly for garden get togethers yet sitting on a bench in an empty park is wrong. Strange times indeed.
Nothing much else going on so Ill go and tackle the kitchen again. Take a safe day all this will pass eventually

Morning all.
Still beautifully sunny here. We could really do with some rain, my garden is mostly clay and the cracks in it are now so wide I could possibly shove my hand in them. I haven't tried though.
taff, your garden sounds suspiciously like my own blessed plot. In place of 'grass' read 'scrubby patch of weeds', and instead of concrete try 'broken bits of an assortment of hard substances.' I have yet to decide what to do with it. Its saving grace is that it is tiny.
AOD, you are not the only one with lowish standards. You'd have to be a limbo dancer to get lower than mine. The great thing is.....they are so easily achieved.
snoozer, it sounds as though you could do with a day of taking things easy. Sometimes you just have to give up and cosset yourself. My tablet wants you to corset yourself, but I wouldn't advise it.
Ruby, fancy doing something as reckless as picking something up! You do these things without thinking though, don't you? Fingers crossed that nothing disastrous has happened - I think you would know if it had.
No plans for me today, which is just how I like it. I am deep in my book and the rest of the world will have to struggle on without me.

Good afternoon all, it's mildish and greyish here, an ishish kind of day.RR, I was thinking about you and those stockings, murder aren't they.I've just finished a couple of birthday cards, a great nephew will be 18 this week, we would have been in Liverpool this weekend for his party but of course it had to be cancelled. A friend is 80 next Sunday, so I've done hers as well. That's really all I've done this morning, cards, yawning, and wandering the house looking out of the windows, I'm terrible for that.I'll nip out later and post the cards, and have a bit of a walk as well. There's some ironing, but I thought I'd send it to Monna, I know she likes it.That's it folks, I have no motivation today, a kick up the arris is needed I think, Taff puts me to shame !!Hope everyone is all right, take care folks9

ruby, I did laugh at you eating humorous but I didn't say anything then...Don't worry about the twang as long as it's not a major twang....After they took mine of out my arm I found when I could stretch my arm a bit, I felt popping sensations all the way down, most weird, and due to something I imagine trying to fill up the holes from the nodes. So don't worry, it's not just you. I did get twangs in my armpit too. Do your excercises, they hurt but they do help.monna, I say grass but what I mean is something green that's got either moss, dandelions, clover or horsetail in it. I say concrete and for the most part that is true of the path [very narrow and uneven in height so don't fall off it] but not true of the various concrete blocks or bricks that were meant to provide a path to the extinct shed[s]. I need a photo taken in the right light to make it look passable...Can't wait for the skip....I found photos this morning of the garden I used to garden in and my god, there was a lot of garden. Ten raised beds made from half logs I snuck out from then work that were delivered holding steels apart when they expanded All eight foot by 4ft beds, plus the raspberry bed, herb bed, hugelkultur experiement [ mostly a failure] and another bed for flowers and the mahoosive compost heap. I don't know how I did it. I do remember one year having some really great cabbages. Right, off to wash dishes and then make pancakes...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Afternoon everyone
Walked down to asda this morning as the jeans I bought yesterday were too tight...must be all the chocolate I'm eating! Exchanged them and went to mam and dad's - it was quite chilly sitting today.
Eldest DD in Stockholm had an upsetting experience yesterday - her bag was stolen in a café - bank cards, ID, driving licence all gone. She was really upset. She'd just been to the library and got three books - it's going to cost £20 for each book! She reported it to the police and cancelled her cards straight away and started the process to get a new ID card.
Going to see if it's warm enough to do some more tidying outside - it's quite cloudy today. If not I have my Sunday Times to read.
Hope everyone has a good day

RedRuby you are not a nuisance!
Thinking of those having a hard time for whatever reason. I still read along every day, used to post daily and I will get back to it. X7 -

Evening all,
it's been overcast all day and cooler than of late....did my few little walks so feeling virtuous. I tidied all the threads on the baby blanket I have been knitting for ages, next project is some socks for OH, he complains about all his "shop bought" socks. but I think the same thing happened years ago when I used to knit his socks.....I have lots of suitable yarn so it will make a change......was thinking of trying magic loop but will leave that for another time I think.
Ruby....you really have to stop thinking of yourself as a nuisance.....you are just in need of care at present and will indeed be a nuisance if you don't abide by the rules and mess anything up for yourself......I am just repeating what my DDs said to me after my hip op five years ago as I love you dearly and want your recovery to be 100%.
wmf....nice to see you , I hope that all is good with you and yours.
dp1.....sorry to hear about your daughter's bag......it is the nuisance of having to replace things and the feeling of having been violated that gets to you.
Love and good wishes to all, stay safe
