How to locate purchase price 2006 - Not on title document

Hi, I'm trying to help a family member to get their banding changed. Their neighbour (who shares the same property, 2 flats) has contacted me as after research, has managed to get her banding reduced and now matches all the other similar properties in the area. Unfortunately, due to illness, my family member has no paperwork regarding the purchase of this property, there is no mortgage either. I have researched the usual online channels but, unable to locate this flat or purchase price. I have the title document from Land Registry and it's not showing on there, or the lease. I do remember that it was a right palava at the time of purchase, it was an old house, loosely arranged as 2 flats. Someone died, and my family member purchased from the family of the deceased (who also owned the other flat, now also deceased). Any ideas?

You probably have already done so, but have you just googled the address? Have you tried Net House Prices?1

If LR don't have the price then it's vanished from the face of the earth. But a 2006 purchase price is of little use unless the property is in Wales. In any case just tell your family member to contact the VOA and ask them to reduce the band in line with the other flat in the propertyIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3

Thanks, I thought in order to do that, that you needed the original purchase price?lincroft1710 said:If LR don't have the price then it's vanished from the face of the earth.
