Re-mortgaging during coronavirus outbreak

Hi,
My mortgage deal is due to end in May, I want to change to a better rate but not sure how to go about it with coronavirus lockdown. Am I best to wait until after to change my mortgage or try to change it now. I am worried that the house prices fall and the rates increase. Not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

No reason why you can't do it now.0

Speak to a mortgage broker.
Take a look at the MSE best mortgage tables.
Ask your existing lender what new products they can offer you.
Remember to factor in all costs when comparing. Remortgaging can be an expensive exercise that wipes any benefit of switching.

Are you going back to your existing lender for a customer retention product or are you actually remortgaging; that's a new mortgage from a new lender to repay the current one?I am a mortgage broker.
