Yeast question

Can anyone tell me what weight a sachet of yeast is please? I buy Doves farm yeast in a pack that I measure it out of, so get a bit stuck when I find a lovely recipe on here and it says 1 sachet yeast.

    Hi taurusgb,

    I use tesco fast action dried yeast and each sachet weighs 6g.

    I have found it cheaper to buy large containers of dried yeast for breadmaking - instead of the 7gr sachets I used to get. I replace a sachet with 1 1/2 teaspoons of from the container - ie 1 heaped teaspoon and 1 level teaspoon.
